Allegiant chooses Brice Featherweight seat

News : Allegiant chooses Brice Featherweight seat May 18, 2010

Brice Seating has announced that Allegiant Air has selected its B3100 Featherweight series seat for the MD-80 aircraft being added to the carrier’s fleet starting in 2011.

Brice says the seat weighs 30% less than other standard economy seats, and can therefore provide operators with greater fuel efficiency, leading to lower costs and improved environmental impact. A reduced number of parts also leads to better maintainability over the life of the seat.

Rick Salanitri, president of TIMCO Aerosystems, commented, "It is most gratifying to receive a new order from a long-time, valued customer like Allegiant Air. We have been proud that our seats have been flying on their aircraft, and we are looking forward to delivering greater value to them with our new Featherweight B3100 seat.”
