News : AIX2010: Rockwell Collins dPAVES for Pegasus 737s May 18, 2010

AIRCRAFT INTERIORS 2010: Pegasus Airlines has chosen Rockwell Collins’ dPAVES as the inflight entertainment (IFE) system 31 of its Boeing 737NGs , with deliveries to begin later this year.

“With our IFE expertise, and our long-standing relationships with content creators and distributors, we can help Pegasus Airlines differentiate its cabin and provide premium entertainment to its passengers,” commented Tommy Dodson, vice-president and general manager, cabin systems for Rockwell Collins.

dPAVES features include: scalable architecture for reduced cost of ownership and the ability to make system enhancements easy and inexpensive; route specific content enabling airlines to select from more than 1,000 city-paired IFE programmes, all timed for the length of the route; plug and play line replaceable units which allow maintenance staff to quickly diagnose and replace parts, cutting down on costly and time consuming repairs; plus, of course, the Airshow Moving Map.
