airBaltic launches Archangelsk–Riga route

News : airBaltic launches Archangelsk–Riga route April 28, 2010

On 3 July, airBaltic will start operating flights on the route from Archangelsk, Russia, to its main base in Riga.

“We continue strengthening our route network in Russia,” remarked Tero Taskila, chief commercial officer of airBaltic. “Travellers from Archangelsk will conveniently fly on airBaltic to destinations such as Barcelona, Paris, London, Geneva, Berlin, Milan. People from 80 destinations in Europe and Middle East, willing to do business in or explore Archangelsk will have access to the Russian city via Riga.”

airBaltic will fly between Riga and Archangelsk twice a week.The outbound service from Riga will operate Mondays and Saturday with return flights from Archangelsk to Riga on Tuesdays and Sundays. Boeing 737 aircraft will be used for a flight that will last for two hours and 35 minutes.
