News : Russian Technologies State Corporation orders 35 MC-21s June 27, 2012

Russian Technologies State Corporation through its specialised leasing subsidiary, Aviation Capital Services, has signed a deal with Irkut Corporation for 35 MC-21 family aircraft.

The signing ceremony was attended by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the president of United Aircraft Corporation, Mikhail Pogosyan. The contract was signed by Roman Pahomov, general director Aviation Capital Services and Alexey Fedorov, president of Irkut Corporation.

Between 2022-2025, Irkut will deliver to Aviation Capital Services 18 MC-21-200s and 17 MC-21-300s. The value of the contract at list price is $2.32 billion the aircraft will be powered by PD-14 engines made by the United Engine Corporation.

The deal firms up options from the initial contract between Aviation Capital Services and Irkut  for 50 firm MC-21s and 35 options signed on 17 August 2011 at the MAKS 2011 show.

МС-21-300 and МС-21-200 will carry 181 and 150 passengers respectively in a single-class configuration. The first deliveries of MC-21 aircraft to customers are scheduled on 2017.
