TECOM opens airborne satcom facility

TECOM Industries has opened a new manufacturing facility dedicated to commercial satcom antenna systems in Newbury Park, CA, six miles from the company’s main facility in Thousand Oaks, CA.

In early 2009 TECOM introduced the KuStream 1000, a broadband antenna system designed to provide passengers with broadband inflight connectivity, supporting applications such as SMS, movies, internet, e-mail, and other inflight entertainment (IFE) services. The new facility will accommodate the production and testing of KuStream 1000 and other commercial satcom systems.
