Vueling reports January 2010 traffic

Vueling Airlines has announced its January 2010 passenger traffic, showing that it carried almost twice the amount of passengers as the same month last year, partly due to its July 2009 merger with clickair.

Revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) were up 91.5% to 618,460,000 from 325,524,000 in January 2009, while available seat kilometres (ASKs) grew by 92.4% to 969,831,000 from 508,232,000. This resulted in the load factor being slightly down at 63.8%, compared with last January’s 64.1%.

The number of passengers carried in January 2010 totalled 675,307, a 94.8% increase on the 346,661 carried in January last year.
