More aircraft acquisitions and lease placements by ALC
November 22, 2011Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed lease agreements for 13 additional aircraft including a number for regional and low-fare airlines.
New aircraft placed from ALC’s orderbook include two Embraer 175s to Belavia and four ATR 72-600s to Passaredo Airlines, while aircraft placed from the current fleet include one Boeing 737-800 leased to Sun Country Airlines.
Meanwhile, two aircraft have been acquired on lease, a Boeing 737-800 leased to Spicejet and an Airbus A320-200 leased to Interjet.
“ALC continues to grow its fleet, diversify its customer base and expand the geographic exposure of its fleet. Our focus on optimal fleet planning helps each airline maximise its competitive advantage in the marketplace,” explained Alex Khatibi, executive vice-president of ALC.
