15 E-190s for BOC Aviation
November 22, 2011BOC Aviation and Embraer have signed a contract for the purchase of 15 Embraer 190s, with deliveries scheduled from the fourth quarter of 2012 through to 2014.
Robert Martin, managing director and chief executive officer of BOC Aviation, commented, “We see excellent potential for the E-190 not only here in Asia where there is strong growth, but also with airlines around the world that have discovered the importance of 100-seat aircraft capacity, both in developing new markets and complementing narrowbody operations with relevant economic gains. The E-190 will allow us to expand the range of BOC Aviation products to customers in established and emerging markets.”
Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, Embraer president, commercial aviation, added, “The expertise, experience, and market penetration of BOC Aviation will provide our mutual airline customers with a wider range of financing opportunities as airlines continue to grow their E-Jet fleets. We are honoured to have BOC Aviation as our newest partner in the E-Jet programme and we look forward to working together and building this new relationship.”
