Embraer announces executive changes
Embraer has announced a number of changes in the composition of its Executive Board, with immediate effect.
Luís Carlos Affonso (above left) takes over responsibility for new programmes, and will be succeeded as the head of the Executive Aviation business by Ernest Edwards, who was formerly responsible for marketing and sales in North America and the Caribbean. Significantly, Affonso led the development of the E-Jet family under then EVP airline market – now president and CEO – Frederico Curado.
Mauro Kern (above right), who succeeded Curado as EVP airline market before moving on to lead new programmes, takes over responsibility for the engineering and technology area, and Emílio Matsuo moves to the recently created position of chief engineer. In the operations area, Hélio Bambini will head up industrial operations.
