airBaltic’s Vilnius–London service begins

News : airBaltic’s Vilnius–London service begins March 4, 2010
airBaltic has begun its new service between Vilnius and Gatwick Airport in London.

“We see that Vilnius airport is the first in the Baltics to demonstrante recovery of local passenger traffic after 18 months of crisis,” remarked airBaltic chief commercial officer Tero Taskila. “airBaltic is delighted to offer [this] service and will evaluate opening more direct routes from Vilnius in the future.”

Passengers on the Vilnius–London flight will board Boeing 737 aircraft for a flight that lasts two hours and 55 minutes. airBaltic currently offers nonstop flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Riga and Rome. From this summer, there will also be nonstop flights from Vilnius to Dublin, Hamburg and Oslo.
