Air Berlin sees increased passenger numbers and revenue in February
March 5, 2010Air Berlin has reported passenger and revenue figures for February 2010.
During the month the airline group carried 1,951,085 passengers (including those on TUIfly routes), an increase of 3.1% over the 1,893,197 passengers carried in the corresponding month last year.
Air Berlin was able to increase its revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK) to 5.51 eurocents, up 3.3% compared with February 2009’s RASK of 5.33 eurocents. Fleet capacity utilisation decreased slightly to 70.6%, which was 0.3 percentage points lower than the 70.9% last February. Capacity increased by 3.5% compared with February 2009.
