News : New EVP of operations at WestJet January 5, 2011

WestJet has announced the appointment of Cameron (Cam) Kenyon to the position of executive vice-president, operations.

Kenyon joins WestJet from Lynx Aviation in Denver, Colorado, where he served as president and chief operating officer since 2008 and was responsible for safety, security and regulatory compliance, human resources, accounting, flight operations, maintenance and engineering, airport customer service and the operations control centre.

Prior to his role with Lynx, Kenyon worked as the director of flight operations training, chief pilot, and subsequently as vice-president, flight operations, at Frontier Airlines from 2000 to 2008.

Kenyon will start during the first quarter of 2011 pending completion of immigration formalities.
