StandardAero has signed an exclusive agreement with Australia’s Airnorth for maintenance of the Hamilton Sundstrand APS2300 auxiliary power unit (APU) installed on the carrier’s Embraer 170.

The agreement is for three years with two consecutive two-year options. Full execution of all options would extend the service agreement through July 2017.

“StandardAero is pleased to be the provider of choice for Airnorth,” said Ian Smart, senior vice-president, airlines & fleets, StandardAero. “Establishing a maintenance contract helps position us for long-term growth in the region and offers Airnorth a number of benefits, including preferential contract pricing; guaranteed turn times and access to spare APUs, if required. This announcement provides ‘bottom line’ benefits for both parties.”
